It was Jon and my first wedding anniversary today. We ended up just having a lazy Sunday.
It was my turn to get up with Isobel and let Jon sleep this morning.
After Jon got up, we had breakfast of scrabled eggs with toast.
I tried to get caught up on laundry, while Jon tried to get the dishes caught up. I also made my first batch of home-made playdough for Isobel; she seemed to have fun playing with it.
I took a short nap, to wake up and find Jon putting Isobel down for a nap. We decided to finally start Dexter Season 3, while Isobel was asleep. She woke up and we had a lunch of apple grilled cheese sandwiches.
After lunch, we went down to the courtyard for some fresh air for Isobel. She brought along Baby George and had fun on the slide.
Jon then took a nap while Isobel played and I made a tune casserole for Monday night dinner and some more iced tea.
Jon boiled some corn on the cob and barbequed some chicken for dinner. Isobel ate the chicken until she saw the corn, and then would only eat corn.
After dinner, Jon and Isobel did some fingerpainting and then took a bath to wash the paint off of themselves. Isobel still tends to get more paint on herself than on the paper, but seems to have fun.
Shortly after her bath, Isobel was ready for bed. It did not take Jon long to get her to sleep and then we watched some more of Dexter.
