256/365 - Mommy-Daughter Day

Last night Isobel crawled into bed between Jon and I and spent the night there.

I took the day off work today to spend with Belly. Since she hasn't been to the Vancouver Aquatic Center in a long time, and it's a much better pool for someone her age and size than Richmond, I decided to take her swimming. We walked Jon to work and then took the Canada Line downtown. She wanted to bring George.

Isobel fell asleep on our walk to the Aquatic Center. While waiting for her to wake up, I found a park bench by the Granville Island Ferry pickup but there was too much of a breeze off of the water and Isobel seemed to be getting cold, so we headed into the Aquatic Center and sat at a table until she woke up.

We were in the pool for over an hour. Isobel had a lot of fun going down the slide over and over. As well as playing with a water toy in the shallow end. She can now walk the length of the pool (as long as she stays on the 2 feet side; she's still a tad too short to keep her mouth above the water on the slightly deeper side.

We then went for a walk up to Davie Street and picked up some Baguette Time and Kadoya for dinner. Took a very crowded Canada Line home.

Meet Jon on the courtyard when he got off work for a picnic dinner. Isobel had fun running around. It was also the first time she's been able to climb up to the slide without any help.
