So we all took the day off today. We started a tradition a couple of years ago of going to Wreck Beach around Jon's birthday. This year, however, we didn't make it despite best intentions. We weren't sure of the weather and had plans to meet up with a couple of friends at some point, so didn't think we had enough time to go to the beach as well.
I went into work for a tiny bit in the morning. And then came home, did some laundry and eventually took a nap.
We decided to grab a picnic lunch and check out a Garry Point Park in Steveston. Isobel fell on the gravel path and banged up her knees. But she had lots of fun playing in the sand; the water was too cold to go in though.
Headed home and Matt and Angel came over for some Thai House dinner and some board games. Isobel went to bed very easily as a result of not really getting a nap in.
