It was a horrible day at work. And to top it off I've gotten Jon's cold. My sinuses, throat, and ears are not happy. At least Jon's on the recovery part now.

209/365 - Minoru Aquatic Centre
Even though Jon was still sick today, he agreed that we should finally check out the teach pool at Minoru Aquatic Centre. It was shallower and warmer than the pool in our building, but I much prefer the teach pool at the Vancouver Aquatic Center. The Richmond pool is lacking a family change room and did not have a great set up for babies/toddlers in the women's change room. Plus it cost almost twice the amount it does at the Vancouver one. And the Vancouver pool is even warmer and shallower, their lockers return your quarter, and there usually are a lot less people there than there was in Richmond today. However, I would still sign Isobel up for her next set of swim lessons in Richmond, but would prefer to have our family swims in Vancouver.
I managed to get some yam filled perogies made and a couple of chicken pot pies. Jon and I are really trying to cook at home more than lately instead of ordering take out.
Jon and Isobel took a nice long nap in the afternoon. Jon's just trying to put her to bed now, but I have a feeling it's going to take a while for her to go to sleep. I'm planning on going to my bed really soon as I'm exhausted.

208/365 - EPIC
I don't think Jon has to worry about buying Isobel a pony after she discovered scooters. Here she's adjusting the mirror for Nicholas.
Isobel and I went to Epic today with Cynthia and Nicholas. It was a lot of fun, but very tiring. And I did not end up with as much swag as the Babies Fair, but there were still a lot of cool things to see and sample. Isobel also really enjoyed the organic dark chocolate. And Cynthia convinced me to buy a really cute dress and skirt.
Since it was late and Isobel hadn't napped yet, and Jon's gaming was over, he picked us up at the sky train station. We were going to go home, eat dinner and get ready to go to Kate's birthday celebration, but Jon's cold was really getting to him so we ended up canceling and staying home.

207/365 - Time For Bed Isobel
Jeff and Louise watched Isobel for us today.
I managed to get Isobel down for an afternoon nap again (2 hour nap I might add). Although I did let her have 3.5 ounces of formula in a bottle since she's been so good with the weaning. She'll occasionally ask for milk (both signing and asking for "ukk") or point to my breats and it actually breaks my heart to say no, but she gets over me saying "no" faster than I do so it's all good.
Jon had his online gaming, so I was in charge of Isobel. We played and read some stories before I put her to bed. And she did go to sleep for me; although it did take a bottle and an hour.

206/365 - Napping for Mommy
Leo got called into work today so wasn't available to watch Isobel. She's been a little cranky with teething and weaning, and I was annoyed with work, so I took some family time to watch Isobel while Jon went to work.
Somehow I managed to get Isobel to nap for me without breastfeeding. That's two days in a row. She even slept for a long time.
Jon got home and we had perogies and kolbasa for dinner. Jon also gave Isobel a bath.

205/365 - Collecting Daddy's Nerf Bullets
Went to work. Angel watched Isobel today. Today was harder with the no breastfeeding as Isobel was tired and cranky but I managed to get her to take a late nap in my arms after a lot of crying. She's also cutting another tooth.
Had pasta for dinner and Isobel ate a lot of it. Organized her toys. Jon put her to bed.

204/365 - Windsor Chair
This was my mom's chair, but when they moved to Manitobal I claimed it. I think it's now Isobel's.
Back to work today. It was a long day with a meeting that went late. I didn't get to pick Isobel up until almost 5pm. She was asleep when I got there. I visited with April for a little while and then Isobel and I headed to met up with Jon after work. Isobel also managed to doze on the way home. We met Jon at Save on Foods and picked up a couple of groceries. Had a dinner of toast with scrambled eggs with red pepper. Isobel really likes raw red pepper. Jon put in The Fantastic Mr. Fox which him and Isobel had been watching earlier. She really likes Mr Fox and kept asking for more of him if he wasn't on screen.
